Drop Packets In Bottles by Hand Ergonomically, Feed Bottles to Line Automatically
Wall, NJ: PharmafillTM TT Series powered turntables from packaging machinery manufacturer Deitz Co., Wall, NJ (www.Deitzco.com) enable packaging professionals to semi-automate manual desiccant packet insertion for faster throughput and improved ergonomics without investing in fully automated desiccant insertion machinery. Replacing the labor-intensive, manual process, the motorized turntables automatically orient empty bottles into a single file around the perimeter and continuously present them to the operator for insertion at a preset speed. After insertion, the rotary turntables automatically feed the bottles onto a conveyor for transfer downstream. Manual bottle unscrambling, orienting, and feeding are eliminated along with the potential for human error in skipping bottles or double-inserting desiccant packets, pouches, and canisters.
Designed to fit neatly into any food, nutrition, or pharmaceutical filling line, the ergonomic turntables are height-adjustable to match the height of the line and operator and may be set to rotate either clockwise or counter-clockwise at a choice of feed rates. The turntables feature stainless steel construction and are set on casters and floor levelers as standard.
The turntables are manufactured in the company’s Wall, New Jersey, headquarters in a choice of top plate diameters from 12 inches to 48 inches, and in custom sizes as needed. Testing is offered on the company’s in-house training/testing filling line.
